Frequently Asked Questions

CAHF

Are the Parade & Festival going to be in-person this year?

No. The Parade and Festival take many months to organize. There was no way of knowing that far in advance if mass-gathering restrictions would be lifted by June. Out of an abundance of caution, we chose alternate programming that celebrates Caribbean American safety.

Is anything going to be in-person?

Yes! We have added several in-person events! Go to our events calendar to see all the details for each.  To make sure you don’t miss any breaking news, follow us on social media, or subscribe to our mailing list by clicking on the "Contact" tab on the top menu.

Caribbean Americans are making a difference is our newest program, and offers in-person opportunities to do volunteer work, or help your Caribbean Community.

Can I buy tickets to the Haitian Heritage Festival or the Caribbean Heritage Month Festival? Is the Carnaval is going to be on Hollywood Boulevard?

Due to LA County COVID guidelines, we are not planning on allowing an audience for the festivals, concerts, or shows.  Health Department rules are fluid and we are monitoring the situation. If things change closer to the event's date, we will make an announcement.

I travel to Hollywood every year for Carnaval and to Los Angeles for both festivals what dates should I book?

Since most of our events are mostly virtual again this year, there are no large gatherings to attend in person. If you choose to visit Los Angeles anyway, please check LA County health guidelines before making any travel plans, and please be safe!

Do Caribbean American and Heritage Foundation Inc have an age minimum? CAHFLA welcomes all members of the community, partners, affiliates, and our allies regardless of age, especially in this year’s virtual space. Let’s celebrate together!

What time does the festival start?

Please see our event calendar to check start times for our various events.

I’m a merchant/vendor. How do I rent a booth at the Festival?

We love the vendors, merchants, and nonprofits that make up our local business community! But since we’re not producing our traditional, large-scale festival, there are no exhibitor or vendor booths for rent this year.

Can someone contact me about sponsorship opportunities for my company?

Please email us at sales@cahfla.org   using the subject line, SPONSOR INQUIRY, and our sponsorship team will contact you. Thank you for supporting CAHFLA!

My company makes the fun thing that’s perfect for CAHFLA. Can we pass them out or give them away?

Since we are not a physical event with large crowds this year, there is nowhere to hand out products or promotional items. But we’d love to hear from you next year!

Can my company donate our product to CAHFLA?

If you have a product that would help us, our areas of focus are: food insecurity, housing insecurity, mental health/wellness, or abuse, please email us at info@cahfla.org, using the subject line. Thank you for your support!

I’d like to perform at the Caribbean American and Heritage Foundation Inc festivals and the Carnaval. How do I apply?

We love our local singers, performers, and musicians! Unfortunately, we are not currently accepting applications or inquiries for talent booking. Click on Talent Booking

I’m interested in volunteering. How do I do that?

We love our volunteers- without your help; it would be so much harder! We don’t need production volunteers this year, but we would love for you to join us for next year's festivals, Carnaval, and shows.

Still, need answers? Just email us at info@cahfla.org
